According to multiple sources online, it looks as if Nintendo will be holding a Partner Direct stream next week. Set to stream on February 5th, 2026, this rumor comes from NatetheHate, GameXplain, and VGC, who have all stated that internal sources corroborated the claims. If so, it seems Nintendo is really gearing up for 2026 to be a big year for the Switch 2 as we’re going on two straight weeks of announcements from the company.

What the Direct might contain is anyone’s guess. We’re more than likely going to see some new information about Elden Ring and The Duskbloods, two of the highest profile partner games on Nintendo Switch 2. We’ll probably also see native footage of IO Interactive’s 007: First Light running on Switch 2, something that we haven’t gotten a glimpse of just yet. I’m hopeful that Capcom will announce Monster Hunter Wilds for the system, but it might be too early for that just yet.

The last Partner Direct stream was held in July 2025, which is where we got news about Star Wars Outlaws, Final Fantasy Tactics, Monster Hunter Stories 3, and Hyrule Warriors: Age of Imprisonment. There’s always a chance something big like a spinoff or crossover could be there, even if it technically would fall under the “first-party” label. There’s really too much to speculate on, though.

Until Nintendo comes out and confirms this, I wouldn’t expect anything from The Big N.
