With just a little over a month until release, Nintendo is pulling back the curtain on Mario Tennis Fever, the latest installment in the Mario Tennis series. In a post on social media yesterday, the company stated that the roster for this newest game will include 38 characters, the most in series history to date. We already know some of the characters (obviously, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, and Peach are there), though the final few are a mystery.
To recap, here are the characters that have been confirmed for Fever already:
- Mario
- Peach
- Luigi
- Yoshi
- Donkey Kong
- Rosalina
- Pauline
- Luma
- Toadette
- Daisy
- Bowser
- Petey Piranha
- Boo
- Birdo
- Chain Chomp
- Shy Guy
- Blooper
- Spike
- Waluigi
- Baby Mario
- Baby Luigi
- Baby Peach
- Baby Wario
- Baby Waluigi
From that list, I would imagine Bowser Jr. will be one of the missing 13 characters. I could see Baby Daisy and Baby Rosalina getting a slot, as well. It will be interesting to see what Nintendo comes up with for characters as the series has only continued to grow over the years.
