A new trailer for Resident Evil Requiem has been released, showing off the game’s Path Tracing visual capabilities with Nvidia graphics cards.

Resident Evil fans who don’t play on PC will also want to see the video, however, for a new glimpse at Requiem’s urban environment.

Protagonist Grace Ashcroft can be seen strolling through a bustling city setting, with pedestrians walking past and cars driving by. It’s not yet clear how expansive this area will be in the final game, nor how linear or open-ended the exploration will be.

Either way, it’s unusual to see such a spacious location with a relaxed atmosphere in a Resident Evil game. Cities in previous titles tend to be plunged into chaos and overrun with infected nasties, so this trailer may indicate that the series is exploring new ground with its upcoming entry.

Last month, it was revealed that the game will follow an episodic structure, and that the gameplay allocated between both protagonists – series veteran Leon Kennedy and newcomer Grace Ashcroft – will be “equally split.”

Resident Evil Requiem will launch on Nintendo Switch 2, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S and Steam on February 27th, 2026.
