With all the leaks going around this morning, there may not be much of anything to reveal at this year’s Game Awards. In a listing on European ratings board PEGI’s website, an entry for “Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced” has been spotted, lending credence to the long held rumor that Ubisoft would be remaking the fourth entry in its eponymous assassin series. While not platforms or information were listed for the game, it’s safe to assume it will be available on all current generation consoles and PC.

Roughly two and a half years ago now, Kotaku reported that Assassin’s Creed IV Black Flag would be receiving a remake at some point. Over the past few years, we’ve heard various reports of progress on the remake, but Ubisoft never officially confirmed or denied their veracity. While a listing from PEGI doesn’t mean the game is a done deal, it does point to be being potentially real. The timing also matches up with The Game Awards this week, which is likely where Ubisoft plans to unveil the game.

In recent times, the actor behind Black Flag’s main character hinted at a convention that a remake was in the cards. He eventually had to backtrack as Ubisoft threatened legal action, but that basically confirms he wasn’t lying. We’ll find out for certain very soon.
