It’s hard to believe that Metroid Prime 4: Beyond is finally available. Announced when the first Switch was still new, the game went through a rough development cycle that finally resulted in a game that does justice to the series’ legacy. If you’ve been dying to get your hands on the game for the better part of the last decade, you’ll be thankful the journey is at an end. To commemorate all of that time spent dreaming of this day, why not redeem some Platinum Points for a Nintendo Switch Online icon?

Technically started yesterday, Nintendo has kicked off four weeks of Metroid Prime 4: Beyond icons for owners of Switch consoles. Available in four different waves with two icons per week, you can adorn your profile with Samus, a Metroid, Sylux, or a couple of other pieces of artwork by checking the Switch Online tab and redeeming some coins. Coins are collected simply by playing games on your Switch or performing actions on the official Nintendo website. Nintendo’s mobile games also offer some.

The icons will be available until January 3rd, 2026, at 5 p.m. PT. Each set runs for seven days.
