In the latest firmware update for the Switch 2 OS, Nintendo has seemingly fixed whatever issues were holding NieR: Automata The End of YoRHa Edition back from running properly on the new console. While not a specific Switch 2 update, which would be pretty awesome, the game should run properly and allow players to make progress where they couldn’t before.

On the Switch 2 compatibility website, NieR: Automata’s page simply reads, “Supported – Game behavior is consistent with Nintendo Switch.” The update was added today, and while we don’t have a lot to go off of, at least 2B’s journey can be experienced on your new console with no problems. I would imagine the extra horsepower of the Switch 2 smooths out the framerate a bit, but there’s otherwise nothing different about the game from a technical standpoint.
