As per tradition for the few decades, The Pokémon Company has announced that the famous “Pikachu and Eevee Pokésled” balloon will be featured in this year’s Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade. The 99th one since the ceremony began in 1926, most of the post from TPC is actually about the ways fans can enjoy Pokémon after they partake of the parade. Did you know Pokémon Legends: Z-A is available now?!

In addition to Pokémon, we also know that a brand-new Mario balloon will be taking to the skies this year. Pac-Man will even join everyone’s favorite plumber, which is a pretty solid showing for video games, in general. The full list of balloons is on Macy’s website, though the only other new ones include Buzz Lightyear, Shrek’s onion carriage, and something called a Derpy Tiger. That sounds like some Gen-Z nonsense that my old self wouldn’t understand.

This year, the parade will commence on November 27th, 2025, at 8:30 a.m. ET until 12:00 p.m. ET. You can watch it on your local NBC subsidiary or stream it directly on Peacock if you have a subscription. The Macy’s website has more information.
