Capcom has revealed on social media that its fantastic fighter, Street Fighter 6, has moved six million units worldwide. Reversing course from the somewhat mixed reception that Street Fighter 5 received, 6 was immediately welcomed by fans as a return to form for the legendary series. Combining a fresh aesthetic with more complex gameplay, the last two years have seen a number of updates and tweaks alongside regular DLC add-ons and even a Switch 2 port. Street Fighter 6 is stronger than ever.

While Street Fighter 6 is a bit lacking in the single-player department, it makes up for it with wild character customization, a plethora of classic arcade games, and some fantastic netcode. Capcom really took the feedback to its previous marquee fighter to heart and worked to ensure that fans were not let down again. I haven’t played a tremendous amount of 6, but it’s easily in the upper tiers of Street Fighter and one of the best fighters available today.
