In a small post on Twitter, Nintendo has confirmed that in-game events for Kirby Air Riders will continue on a regular cadence for at least one year. With the game having just released for Nintendo Switch 2, players jumping in can look forward to experiencing something new every week or so until December 2026 (estimated). Whether the game gets new events beyond that is anyone’s guess, but the early reception to both the Global Test Ride and the game’s critical reviews suggest it will have some legs.
#KirbyAirRiders will have regularly scheduled in-game events. Participants can earn rewards like street names, stickers, and themes to customize their license. Events are planned to run for a year after launch, so please look forward to them. #NintendoSwitch2 pic.twitter.com/LXVkdewzsR

The post mentions that players who participate in events can earn rewards for their in-game profiles. These will include street names, stickers, and themes to customize their licenses. There’s bound to be some time-limited rewards in there, so if you plan on getting them all, you’ll need to check back each week. Director Masahiro Sakurai’s previous game, Super Smash Bros. Ultimate, received similar updates for years after its launch, so I don’t doubt Air Riders will be the same.
