In a rather amusing bit of cross-promotion, McDonald’s Japan is teaming up with Capcom to serve a series of Street Fighter-themed burgers to patrons. In a charming animation dubbed “Street Burger,” we can see a breakdown of the trio of menu items being added on October 22nd, 2025. They include a Ryu, Ken, and Chun-Li burger that range from fairly average to 100% Japanese.

Ryu’s meal is called the “Burnt Garlic Mayonnaise Egg Teriyaki Burger,” and it contains… well, all of that. A grief animation shows Ryu squaring off with “Goukinalds” and mashing the burger and garlic together to create the concoction. Ken’s burger is actually just a regular old triple cheeseburger, though his battling M. Bison in front of a McDonald’s is cool. Lastly, Chun-Li’s combo is called the “Yurinchi Fried Chicken Mayonnaise Burger,” and it sounds like the best combination of flavors. She battles Guile in the animation to craft the beast and I love it.

I think the brief animation is really the highlight. I love Zangief spinning with his trays and Akuma humming the McDonald’s theme is ridiculous. Capturing that style of old-school animation from Super Turbo is fun, even if a lot of this is likely just bit-crushed images retrofitted on top of the old sprites. These burgers will only be available for a limited time, so if you happen to in Japan, it might be worth a stop at McDonald’s to try them out.
