Over the weekend, some retail listings for “Assassin’s Creed Shadows Switch 2 Edition” started showing up on French websites, leading to speculation that Ubisoft’s 2025 hit would be heading to Nintendo’s latest platform soon. Now, according to reliable leaker billbil-kun, we have a supposed release date and price that is lending some extra credibility to those retail spottings.
According to the leaker, AC Shadows will release on Nintendo Switch 2 on December 5th, 2025, both physically and digitally. As with Star Wars Outlaws, Shadows will release on a game-key card likely for data speed concerns. The game is listed at €50 in Europe, which will probably translate to $50 in the US. That’s not so bad, especially since the other versions of the game can be found for much lower than the initial $70 price point.
Billbil-kun also claims that Ubisoft will be planning a pre-order phase in the lead up to Shadows’ release. While a specific date for that isn’t confirmed, Billbil-kun speculates that November 7 is when Ubisoft will open pre-orders. Considering the company hasn’t even confirmed whether Shadows will see a Switch 2 port, we can only guess when this will all happen. It does seem like a sure thing, however, especially since Outlaws has been doing well enough on Nintendo’s console.
