2025’s Game of the Year has just been given a release date. Across social media today, developer FuturLab has announced that it will be releasing Powerwash Simulator 2 on October 23rd, 2025. Set to hit PC, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch 2 for just $24.99, the game is an evolution of the wildly engaging original that gives players even more chances to spray dirt and watch things become clean.
The big changes with this sequel are maybe more iterative than revolutionary, but still expand the already solid foundation that Powerwash Simulator had. In 2, players will be able to take on multi-stage jobs where cleaning one area will open up the next. There’s also a home base where you can plan out your fictional business from, complete with customization options. The co-op mode also now sports shared progression through the campaign, allowing multiple players to work together instead of having to do jobs multiple times. It’s a lot of great quality-of-life changes that should add up to a better experience.
The original Powerwash Simulator was something of a sleeper hit when it was released in 2022. Taking Xbox Game Pass by storm, it was praised for its zen-like qualities and its simple, yet intuitive gameplay. A Switch version would be released the following year and it would bring motion controls to the game, which added an extra layer of immersion. Powerwash Simulator 2 should feel right at home on Switch 2.
