In celebration of the Pokémon franchise’s 30th anniversary, The Pokémon Company has announced that it will be opening a limited time pop-up shop in the London Natural History museum next year. Set to do business for two months, the shop will be open from January 26th, 2026, until March 22nd, 2026, and will require a free ticket to enter. Registration for opening day will begin on October 1st, 2025, straight from the official NHM website.

The shop will feature exclusive merchandise such as clothing, accessories, plushes, and more. Pokémon cards, however, will not be sold. Select items from the shop will be available for purchase online, though TPC and NHM haven’t stated what. Per TPC and NHM, all profits from purchases at the shop will go towards supporting the museum’s charitable mission, which works towards researching finding solutions for planetary emergencies.

In a statement to the press, Adam Farrar (director of commercial and visitor experience for NHM) said, “There is such a wonderful alignment between Pokémon and the Natural History Museum – we’re obviously both big fans of the natural world and its evolution and diversity. We hope this collaboration will spark joy and curiosity in the creatures around us, both in the world of Pokémon and Earth.”

If you’re looking to nab some of this exclusive merchandise, you’ll want to book your trips early. As VGC notes, TPC had collaborated with the Van Gogh Museum in Amsterdam back in 2023 and all merchandise had sold out in a single day. Even the items listed online were sold out within minutes, leading to TPC issuing an apology to customers. More steps have seemingly been taken to ensure a repeat doesn’t happen in London.
