As one of the final announcements for Super Mario Bros.’ 40th anniversary, Nintendo confirmed that a proper Switch 2 Edition of Super Mario Bros. Wonder will be coming in early 2026. Dubbed “Meetup in Bellabel Park,” the title already received a Switch 2 patch that increased the game’s output resolution and included HDR, but this proper version is bringing new content alongside, presumably, more visual improvements.

While the majority of today’s trailer showed off a plethora of minigames that will be getting added to Wonder, Nintendo did confirm that regular platforming levels will be included in the Bellabel Park addition. It will possibly be limited to a single new area, but the short trailer did highlight a rather large-looking map with plenty of areas to explore. The minigame stuff might not mean a lot to solo players, but at least Nintendo isn’t only adding that.

Super Mario Bros. Wonder Switch 2 Edition + Meetup at Bellabel Park will be heading to Nintendo Switch 2 in early 2026. No upgrade has been confirmed for owners of the original, though it will likely be $20 like other Switch 2 upgrades.
