Though Kirby Air Riders’ core presence in today’s Nintendo Direct was on its spectacular, detachable amiibo, there was one other crucial bit of information. Namely that another Kirby Air Riders Direct is on the way, hosted again by Masahiro Sakurai!

Having followed all things Super Smash Bros. as well as his personal YouTube channel, I could quite literally listen to him talk about his work for hours. With Air Riders just a couple months away now, and with the promise of even more amiibo, it’s sure to be a great one to tune into!

If you missed the first Air Riders Direct, it’s well worth the watch, focusing nearly equal parts on the game’s racing and City Trial modes. Personally, I’m hoping for even more familiar faces from the Kirby series to show up — Forgotten Land’s Elfilin is just begging to get on the track (despite just having a return appearance in Star-Crossed World), and I wouldn’t be surprised at all if Sakurai brought back a character of his own creation like Marx to fill out the race roster.

Kirby Air Riders and at least its first two amiibo will take off on November 20th.
