If you thought some of those bigger Lego sets could be expensive, you’ve seen nothing yet. The Legoleak subreddit reports in a new post that when the first official Pokémon Lego sets release next year, one will be priced at a whopping $650. Set to include 6,838 pieces, the set is either going to be some massive reconstruction of an iconic building, or it could be something ludicrous like all 151 original Pokémon in a box. The latter is actually the common guess among users on the subreddit, with many responding, “151 minifigures.”

Now, 6,838 pieces is not the largest Lego set ever released. That honor goes to the World Map, which contained a whopping 11,695 pieces. Even still, this reported figure would put the Pokémon set in the top 10 for largest Lego sets, resting comfortably above some Star Wars and Lord of the Rings models. Considering all of the big Lego sets are of buildings, I’m inclined to believe this set will not be just Pokémon and nothing else. There has to be something more than just critters.

The post also suggests that March 1st, 2026, will be the official release date for these Lego sets. Two other sets will see a release that day, which potentially include a 587-piece set for $60, and a 2,050-piece set for $200. Since it would be redundant to have Pikachu appear in all three, that gives me more reason to believe the massive one is not a Pokédex pack.
