When Street Fighter 6 released for Nintendo Switch 2 on the console’s launch, it came with some new features exclusive to the Nintendo port. The most obvious feature was amiibo support, including Street Fighter character figurines and a brand-new set of cards specific to SF6. With DLC characters still coming to the game, it only makes sense that Capcom would produce more cards to accommodate characters not currently in the game, and that’s exactly what is happening.

Japanese retailers have put up preliminary listings for some new amiibo cards that include the likes of not only Terry, Mai, and Elena, but Sagat, C. Viper, Ingrid, and Alex. If you’re up on Street Fighter 6, you’ll know that Sagat was released last week and C. Viper has only been shown in a teaser trailer. Ingrid and Alex don’t even have 3D models yet, but will have two different cards specific to them. Funnily enough, their amiibo cards will be released before they are even available in-game.

This new set of amiibo cards doesn’t have a release date yet, but will bring 38 new cards for players to collect. It will include all of the characters from years 1-3, though the original characters will only get one new card to complement their original cards from the game’s launch. In Japan, card packs come with 15 different characters, so you’ll need to buy a few to get a full set.
