If you live in Japan and are a big fan of Weekly Shōnen Jump or Pokémon, be on the lookout at your local newsstands next week. Starting August 4th, 2025, the popular anime magazine will be collaborating with Nintendo’s biggest critter-catching franchise for a series of promotional covers featuring artwork from acclaimed artists. Already shared online is a drawing from One Piece author Eiichiro Oda that features Luffy and Pikachu, but additional magazine covers will include ME & ROBOCO as well as Blue Box.

When combined together, the covers will form a special collage that creates a larger overall illustration. It’s a neat way to celebrate the legacy of both Weekly Shōnen Jump and Pokémon, but the fun doesn’t stop there. As a bonus pack-in for the August 18th, 2025, issue, a sticker of the entire collaboration will be included for buyers to place wherever they like. I’m not sure how big that sticker will be, but it’s sure to be a hot commodity for fans.
