While we probably aren’t getting a Nintendo Direct this month (maybe), The Pokémon Company has already announced that it will be holding a Pokémon Presents stream on July 22nd, 2025, at 9 a.m. ET | 6 a.m. PT. Running for roughly 24 minutes, there is something fun that will be happening ahead of that presentation: a DJ Pikachu concert!

Starting exactly one hour before the Presents stream (so 8 a.m. ET/5 a.m. PT), DJ Pikachu will take to the stage and… well, I guess DJ some music. The Pokémon Company hasn’t exactly explained what everyone’s favorite electric rat will be doing on stage for an hour, but we do have a picture of him looking rather adorable behind the DJ booth. He has some glasses, futuristic looking speakers, and some lightning bolts to hold the record styluses. Also, if people spam “Pikachu” in the chat, more Pikachu will appear in the audience.

I’m assuming this will be a semi-interactive event that is played live before the show. It wouldn’t make sense to pre-record Pikachu dropping some fat beats if audience participation summons more Pikachu to dance. If this is signaling some Pokémon rhythm game, then I’ll all for it.
