If you happen to find yourself in Japan this August, you might want to make a stop at McDonald’s while you’re there. As announced on McDonald’s Japan’s Twitter account, the Golden Arches will be collaborating with The Pokémon Company for a series of exclusive cards this August. The biggest one is a rather charming Pikachu card where he’s reaching for a Big Mac, but the other five will be available until supplies last.

Each card features an exclusive illustration of the Pokémon with the McDonald’s logo on the bottom right. I can’t read which moves they have, but they likely won’t be used extensively for battle in competitions. You’ll get one randomly in each Happy Meal and the promotion seems to run for at least one month.

The cards included in the promotion, which will be available starting August 8th, 2025, are as follows:

  • Riolu
  • Ralts
  • Quaxley
  • Sprigatito
  • Fuecoco

A special Pikachu card will also be available, though you’ll only be able to grab him on August 9th, 10th, or 11th. He’ll be free for all visitors, I assume, so you can stop by a McDonald’s to grab one if you’re in the area.
