Summer Game Fest has come and gone, but that’s not stopping publishers from announcing their own livestreams to update players on new games. Capcom is the latest to throw its hat into the fray, with a new 40-minute “Capcom Spotlight” stream announced for June 26th, 2025. As you can expect, Capcom will be talking about the upcoming Pragmata and Resident Evil Requiem, while also providing news for Street Fighter 6 and Monster Hunter Wilds. While Street Fighter is the only game currently available on Nintendo Switch 2, we could be getting news that these other games will be making the jump soon.

Monster Hunter Wilds released earlier in 2025 to excellent reviews and sales, but it’s curiously not on Nintendo’s newest platform yet. With the series having previously been a major seller on the Nintendo 3DS, there’s bound to be a contingent of players that will readily grab the game for the Switch 2. It is entirely possible, however, that the title just cannot run on Nintendo’s hardware, even with compromises.

As for Pragmata or Resident Evil Requiem, I would expect at least Resident Evil will get announced for Switch 2. Capcom’s proprietary RE Engine already exists on the console in the form of Street Fighter 6 and Kunitsu-Gami: Path of the Goddess, so it’s not like the Switch 2 is incapable of higher fidelity games. It more has to do with memory bandwidth and CPU speeds, which might not be able to cope with open-world titles with such graphical complexity.

We’ll learn all the details when the stream kicks off in just a week.
