As we found out in the Switch 2 Direct, Super Mario Party Jamboree is getting a paid upgrade later this year, exclusive to the new console! Titled Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV (what a mouthful), the upgrade expands the base game and adds brand-new features that take advantage of all the Switch 2 has to offer.

An overview trailer was just released showcasing the upgrade you’ll be able to experience soon — let’s take a look at what will be included!

Camera

  • Using the Nintendo Switch 2 Camera, up to four players can appear on screen, letting you see real time reactions.

New rules

  • Tag-Team Rules: Pair up with a partner, allowing you to play new minigames and discover new items exclusive to the mode.
  • Frenzy Mode: five turns total, with each player starting with 50 coins, a Double Dice Block and a Star.

New items

  • Together Dice: Exclusive to Tag-Team Rules, this item warps your partner to your location and has you each roll a die, moving the total amount of spaces. If you land on a Star space, you’ll receive double the amount, but beware! You’ll also receive any negative effects on the way.

New Mode

  • Bowser Live: By using the Camera, you are able to appear on stream, allowing you to use your full body to play minigames. Even if you don’t have a camera, there are minigames that utilize the microphone.
  • Carnival Coaster: Use mouse controls to shoot enemies as you traverse the coaster, entering minigames as you enter warp pipes. Winning minigames will give you more time on the coaster. 5 different courses available, with different difficulties.

New minigames

  • Minigames exclusive to the Switch 2, using mouse controls, a more expressive rumble, and the microphone.

GameShare

  • Able to be shared to up to 3 other systems, even if they don’t have the game. Players are limited to Mega Wiggler’s Tree Party.

Super Mario Party Jamboree Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboree TV will be available on July 24th, along with the upgrade pack for players who already own the game.
