Last month the Pokémon Trading Card Game Pocket app saw the Alola region and its Pokémon debut for the first time in the Celestial Guardians expansion. As exciting as it was seeing a fresh cast of Pokémon join in, a certain special category of Pokémon from the region were notably absent from the set, the Ultra Beasts. It turns out that was because they were set to get their own dedicated set just a month later. The latest TCG Pocket expansion, Extradimensional Crisis, is bringing these Pokémon to the forefront next week!
Extradimensional Crisis centers around the alien-like Pokémon known as Ultra Beasts. The set includes all of them, with special cards such as Buzzwole ex, Guzzlord ex, and a full art Blacephalon. That isn’t all that’s coming with this expansion however; a handful of other Alolan Pokémon are coming along as well, such as Type: Null’s first TCG Pocket appearance and a new Tapu Koko ex card. As a nice bonus as well, an Ultra Beast-themed binder cover will be available in the shop in exchange for shop tickets alongside the release of the set.
The Extradimensional Crisis expansion will be available starting next week on May 29th at 11 p.m. PT, so make a note to check in on the app next week once they arrive. These bizarre, yet iconic Pokémon from the depths of Ultra Space make excellent additions to any collection, so be sure to try and grab them all once they’re here!
