Mario Kart World, the newest entry in the Mario Kart franchise and the first new console game in over a decade, races on to Switch 2 in just two months! First teased back in January for the Switch 2 reveal, Mario Kart World was the first trailer shown off in today’s Direct and was packed with information!

As in previous entries, World will have retro courses from earlier titles as well as brand new courses. We were able to see a few of the returning locations, check out the rundown of all the Mario Kart World courses we were able to spot below:

Mushroom Cup

  • Mario Bros. Circuit (NEW)
  • Crown City (NEW, Daytime)
  • Whistlestop Summit (NEW)
    DK Spaceport (NEW)

Flower Cup

  • Desert Hills (DS)
  • Shy Guy Bazaar (3DS)
  • Wario Stadium (64)
  • Airship Fortress (DS)

Star Cup

  • DK Pass (DS)
  • Starview Peak
  • Sky-High Sundae (MK8D)
  • Wario Shipyard (3DS)

Shell Cup

  • Koopa Troopa Beach (64)
  • Faraway Oasis (NEW)
  • Crown City (NEW, Nighttime)
  • Peach Stadium (NEW)

Banana, Leaf and Lightning Cups were shown but the courses are unknown at this time. Other courses that we seemed to see were Moo Moo Meadows (Wii), what seemed to be Dino Dino Jungle, a new track that takes place on a film reel, and one that looks like a sequel to Mario Kart 8’s Mount Wario! Mario Kart World promises to shake up the franchise like never before, with the addition of 24 racers, countless new characters, and a brand new world to freely explore. Each course looks to be completely redesigned for World, so there are sure to be plenty of surprises for new and returning racers.

Were you able to see any other courses we may have missed? Or is there a retro course you really want to see? Let us know!
