Nintendo of Japan has revealed that, effective immediately, they will cease repair requests on all New Nintendo 3DS LL(XL here in the States) and Nintendo 2DS systems. If you remember, repair requests on New Nintendo 3DS systems ended in August 2024.
The reason for ending repairs is due to depleted stock for these systems. With this announcement, all 3DS and 2DS systems will not be able to be repaired by Nintendo themselves. Last year, Nintendo announced that they had run out of Wii U replacement parts, marking the end of an era for the Wii successor and DS successors.
