The Entertainment Software Association, previously the organizers of E3, has announced that it will be attempting to start a new annual conference for game developers and video game announcements. Dubbed the Interactive Innovation Conference, or iicon, this conference is pitched as “an essential convening for changemakers across the industry.” Already receiving the backing of companies such as Ubisoft, Take-Two, Sony, and Microsoft, the conference is set to take place at the Fontainebleau Resort in Las Vegas from April 27-30, 2026.

On iicon’s official website, ESA president and CEO Stanley Pierre-Louis states, “For decades, video games have been at the forefront of technological and cultural innovation. With iicon, we are creating a space for visionaries across industries to come together, connect and reimagine what’s possible through interactive entertainment.”

As well as the aforementioned game companies already attending, other companies that have confirmed their cooperation include Amazon Games, Disney, Electronic Arts, Epic Games, Nintendo of America, Square Enix, and WB Games. With a different core focus from E3, iicon looks positioned to get companies speaking with one another versus showcasing upcoming developments in a competitive manner.
