The next expansion of the wildly popular app Pokémon TCG Pocket is just around the corner! Space-Time Smackdown, themed around the Sinnoh legends Dialga and Palkia, is available today and is the first major expansion since the game’s release.

However, just two days ago players were greeted with a warning upon opening the app. Titled “Taking Action in Response to Inappropriate Conduct,” the warning told players that they were aware of “data tampering, real money trading and other behaviors.” Players were also warned that if they engaged in said behavior, they would either be warned, banned, or “other action” could be taken (whatever that could mean).

This was the only statement within the warning, but over on the TCG Pocket subreddit, players have listed a few reasons for the sudden warning. It seems players were grinding to level 50 by doing battles and letting the time run out. This was done to farm currency in the game. Wonder Pick Farming is also apparently a thing where accounts were created en masse in hopes of finding a god pack. Once one was found, the friend code would be sold to allow others to roll for a rare card.

The most likely reason is due to the trading feature finally rolling out, in order to prevent money being exchanged for a sought after card. And speaking of which — trading in TCG Pocket is finally available in the game! You can learn more about how to trade below:
