“Big” news for the Sonic the Hedgehog 3 movie coming tomorrow

Update: The Sonic the Hedgehog 3 Movie trailer will releases tomorrow morning at 6:00 AM PT / 9:00 AM ET.

 

 

When the Sonic the Hedgehog movie originally released in 2020, it completely changed the game for video game films. Not only was it a big success in and of itself, it also received a successful sequel in 2022 as well. Needless to say, then, the hype around Sonic the Hedgehog 3 is massive as its air date later this year closes in. If you’re one who has been eagerly anticipating any news around Sonic the Hedgehog 3, then good news! It has been confirmed that something is in the works for tomorrow, although what it is remains a mystery.


The source comes in the form of a Tweet made early this morning by the Paramount Pictures Australia Twitter account. The associated Instagram reel linked in said Tweet is a short teaser video of a city with Sonic, Shadow, and Eggman symbols being projected onto buildings. There’s not much information other than that “something big” is coming tomorrow, which many expect to be a new trailer. While it does seem quite likely, it really could be anything, so there’s no way to be certain until tomorrow.

 

As many likely have heard by now, a double Nintendo Direct was announced that is also scheduled for tomorrow. This led many to wonder if the trailer will air during said Direct as a form of cross-promotion. While very possible, it’s far from guaranteed so it’s impossible to say for sure until then. Either way though, if you’re excited for more news about Sonic the Hedgehog 3, be sure to keep an eye out for whatever they have in store for tomorrow!
