With every “thing” being a crossover nowadays, it’s no surprise to see that Square Enix and Capcom are now collaborating on a new event. As revealed during a Japanese livestream event this week, the free-to-play title Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis will be getting some new content based on the Monster Hunter series soon. While the highlights are unlockable costumes for the main characters (Tifa in Kirin armor is great), this limited event goes beyond simple cosmetic changes.

Running until July 2, 2024, the FFxMH event will feature a series of missions that will see Cloud and crew battling iconic monsters from Capcom’s beloved franchise. Obviously, Rathalos will be your main target and he’ll require a strong team to topple.

The costumes will be available for Cloud, Tifa, Zack, and Aerith, though you’ll need to acquire them lottery style by using daily draws. To entice players back, the FFxMH event will feature unique daily log-in rewards and a chance for players to receive a free 10-draw along with guaranteed 5-star weapons.

Final Fantasy VII Ever Crisis is available for free now on iOS and Android devices with a PC port downloadable on Steam.
