For a while now Lost in Cult’s [lock-on] series of gaming journals has been giving video game fans a one-stop shop for in-depth interviews, editorials, artwork, and more. The next volume is set to be their biggest yet, and it’ll also feature some very familiar faces.
[lock-on] Vol. 006 will have over 400 pages and cover the biggest AAA titles and a few indie darlings. Just as a sampling we know Ganondorf voice actor Matt Mercer will sit down to discuss embodying the role of the series’ villain in Tears of the Kingdom, various Star Fox staffers celebrate the original’s 30th anniversary, a bunch of developers delve into the original Metroid Prime, and concept art from both Oxenfree games will be featured.
Perhaps the biggest part of the book is the Final Fantasy section, though, which will feature input from series creator Hironobu Sakaguchi, long-time composer Nobuo Uematsu, and the iconic artist Yoshitaka Amano. Amano has even offered up a new illustration for the book of Final Fantasy VI’s heroine, Terra, which will adorn the hardcover copies!
