Over the holiday weekend, Sega fans were treated to a treat… or was it a trick? (Wait, wrong holiday.)
Footage supposedly shared in an internal meeting at the company back in 2021 leaked last week, with a full drop coming yesterday. In it, we see a clip of Yukari from Persona 3 in what appears to be a remake of the classic RPG, some Sonic Frontier development footage, and Beat in a new Jet Set Radio game.
UPDATE: Special thanks to anonymous user DM for this!! So it seems this was part of footage from SEGAs Japan’s Internal meeting held in 2021… The Japanese characters on top rights reads “Footage in development” pic.twitter.com/5sW13O1kyQ

While it would be easy to dismiss the whole thing as fake, there are a few intriguing tidbits of information.
For starters, the Sonic Frontiers footage has an unused caterpillar enemy which looks very similar to a design featured in an artbook. A domain has also been registered to p3re.jp which shares the same provider as Persona 5 Royal’s website. Finally, the Beat design matches a leaked image from a Sega survey last year.
Of course there’s still a possibility this was all hoaxed, but with all of the evidence, it’s looking fairly likely.
We’ll be sure to bring you any news as it comes in!
