Back in 2020, Japan got a prequel to the once Switch-exclusive Octopath Traveler for mobile, subtitled Champions of the Continent. Now, two years later, it’s finally heading west.

The game takes place on the same continent as the original but with a mostly new cast of characters. Perhaps the biggest change, beyond the free-to-play nature of the title, is the expansion to an 8-character party in battles.
More information regarding the game’s 2022 launch in North America and Europe is expected later this month.
