The SteamWorld series is growing! We’ve known since earlier this year that more games are in the works for the franchise, but nothing had been formally announced. Today, thanks to the Thunderful Games presentation, we got a name and first look for the next SteamWorld game. Carrying off where SteamWorld Dig 2 ended, it’s time to shift your perspective in SteamWorld Headhunter.
SteamWorld heads in a whole new direction! We are so excited to finally reveal SteamWorld Headhunter, the next game in the SteamWorld franchise, that directly follows the (literally) earth-shattering events of SteamWorld Dig 2. SteamWorld Headhunter is a stylised and colourful, 3rd person co-op action adventure with a head-popping twist.
Thunderful Games hasn’t confirmed a release date or what platforms SteamWorld Headhunter will be available on. Given that the series has consistently appeared on Nintendo consoles and handhelds, here’s hoping that this 3D adventure will continue the trend and make its way to the Nintendo Switch. For now, enjoy the teaser trailer and pieces of artwork that Thundeful Games has shared until the company is ready to release more details.
