Few video game icons quite capture the essense of the 1990’s like Sonic the Hedgehog. The blue blur perfectly captured the era’s approach to ‘attitude’, while meshing it with cute Japanese sensibilities, resulting in a pretty iconic aesthetic that still holds up to this day.
Fashion label Stray Rats is taking advantage of that look with a new line of officially licensed merch, and rather than focus solely on the the first three Genesis games like most merch, they’re pulling from Sonic CD and even Sonic the Fighters. Take a look at a few items from the selection:
Better still, this preview is labelled as “Collection 1” suggesting more stylish gear is on the way.
