The ever popular Animal Crossing x Sanrio amiibo cards that were released back in 2016 in Japan and Europe will finally be re-released and made available in the US this Friday. To finally add these six cards to your amiibo collection and access their in-game bonus content for Animal Crossing: New Horizons, you’ll be heading to one specific retailer – Target.
Initially mentioned during the announcement of the cards’ re-release, the “Animal Crossing Sanrio Collaboration Pack” will only be available from Target, specifically Target.com. The retailer went on to add a caveat for this amiibo release in its Weekly Ad, specifically that it’ll be “[a]vailable via Order Pickup or Drive Up only. Quantities limited; no rain checks.” Target then added more details on its site’s main video game page: “Only at Target. Only available 8am CT on Friday, 3/26 with Order Pickup or Drive Up. Limit 2 per guest.”
So, in an effort to not have a large gathering of amiibo hunters swarm the Electronics department, you’ll want to set an alarm and order the cards via Target’s site or app at 6 a.m. PT | 8 a.m. CT. Currently, Target has not yet published the card pack’s page listing, but we’ll be watching for its arrival this Friday and will be tweeting out the direct link on our Twitter accounts, @NinWire and @AmiiboNews.
