Pokémon’s 25th anniversary is full of surprises – did anyone expect a celebratory virtual concert by Post Malone? – and this latest merch collaboration is only adding to the strangeness.
Japanese fishing company DUO has opened pre-orders today for its first two Pokémon-themed fishing lures, based on Pikachu and Kyogre. The two are fairly customizable and perform different functions, with Pikachu being a jitterbug-type while Kyogre is a crawler.
You just have to see ’em in action to believe them, and thankfully two trailers have been released. Check them out:
Backdoor Project is currently selling both the Kyogre and Pikachu lures. They’re expected to be shipped out in early April.
