Bandai Namco may be planning a restructure on April 1st, 2021, and its plans are no joke: The company appears to be going big with its upcoming overhaul, according to its latest financial report (which has been translated and interpreted by Siliconera).

First, Bandai Namco will be merging both its video games business with its toy and hobby units, resulting in a new “three unit system.” The Network Entertainment unit will be merged with the gaming unit to create the more generalized “Entertainment Unit.”

According to the report, the changes are being made in response to the company heading in “a new strategic direction,” hoping to “continue to create products that will reflect the values of its consumers.”

It’s all a little complex, though it’s still nothing compared to the restructuring plans announced by Konami last month — I’m still trying to wrap my head around that one.
