Following up on an earlier celebratory image or two, character artist and Dixie Kong’s creator Steve Mayles is inviting you all to a Bramble Scramble. Donkey Kong Country 2: Diddy’s Kong Quest recently celebrated its 25th anniversary, and to mark that milestone he’s shared a new illustration of Diddy, Dixie, and Squawks in one of the game’s signature environments.

 

 

Stickerbrush Symphony, the music that plays in these thicket themed stages, is one of the most beloved tracks from DKC2’s soundtrack. It’s fitting that they’d be celebrated here, capturing just one piece of what made the SNES sequel one of the best platformers in Nintendo’s decades-long library. Want to experience the game today?
