Dragalia Lost has crossed over with over games before, but for its latest raid event it looks like it’s instead taking inspiration from one. With the prince and pals visiting a tropical island, things take a turn for the tragic when a mysterious, monochrome fiend (complete with grin and glowing red eye) announces they’re going to murder each other one by one.
A new raid event, Doomsday Getaway, starts July 27, 11 PM PT, and we released a trailer ahead of the event! We hope you're looking forward to it! https://t.co/K9p7ETyt0h#DragaliaLost pic.twitter.com/hPZsxXE6fJ

If that sounds familiar, it’s because it’s highly evocative of the (sadly not on Nintendo systems) Danganronpa series. The character introductions, the clash of aesthetic and music with subject matter, and the maniacal mascot character all bring that series to mind – specifically Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair which took place on a tropical island.
While it isn’t the only “murder game” media franchise out there, the parallels here are uncanny. Both for seeing how deep they run and to gather up more summertime adventurers, you can check out Dragalia Lost’s Doomsday Getaway raid event starting 11 p.m. PT on July 27th.
