Towards the end of April we’d typically see Nintendo release its fiscal year earnings report and hold a briefing discussing the results and plans for the future. This year, however, plans have changed in light of the state of emergency being declared in Japan over the COVID-19 coronavirus pandemic.
As a result, Nintendo has postponed its reports until May 7th, 2020, after the state of emergency is expected to end. It’s worth noting, however, that the in-person briefing isn’t listed on the official website.
This means we’ll have to wait a couple more weeks to learn just how well Nintendo performed as a company in the 2019 fiscal year and what 2020 has in store.
