Niantic has been testing out new one hour events this year, Pokémon Spotlight Hour and Mystery Bonus Hour. Based on player feedback and data, the company has announced a new change and a schedule for the next round of Pokémon Spotlight Hour events.

This month, Pokémon Spotlight and Mystery Bonus Hour are combined. Each session will be dedicated to a particular Pokémon and a special bonus for catching them has been assigned to each one! Below are the dates that Niantic listed on the game’s blog:

  • Tuesday, April 7, 2020: Purrloin will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for catching Pokémon.
  • Tuesday, April 14, 2020: Magnemite will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for catching Pokémon.
  • Tuesday, April 21, 2020: Wobbuffet will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the Candy for transferring Pokémon.
  • Tuesday, April 28, 2020: Pidgey will be in the spotlight, and you’ll earn twice the XP for evolving Pokémon.

No matter which day you participate in, Pokémon Spotlight Hour is only active from 6:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. your local time.
