The strange treasures that are Drama CDs have gifted us something truly magical. These common releases in Japan are basically voiced cutscenes or stories without the visuals and interaction, putting the characters in new situations that are often outside the norm of their adventures. Of all the characters to get one though, who knew Kirby would have so much to say?
That’s right, Kirby, who usually only speaks in Poyos, ‘Hi’s, and puzzle game based smack talk; is gifting the world with his marvelous voice. A fan animation perfectly captures why this is something no one should miss:
While the animation is new, this CD’s actually been around for some time — since 1994. This makes sense if you remember Kirby using phones in Kirby 64 and more integrally in Kirby and the Amazing Mirror, but it brings a whole new level of cuteness to our stars and beyond.
