As we’ve known for some time now, this year’s animated Pokémon movie will be a CG remake of the very first – Mewtwo Strikes Back. We’ve seen clips of it before, but this latest trailer is our first good look at some iconic scenes remade, with close-ups of the human characters as well as a variety of Pokémon.
It’s definitely quite the art-style shift!
Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution will hit Japanese theaters on July 12th. A western release has yet to be confirmed, but the last two movies have made their way over in the November/December timeframe. We’ll be sure to keep you informed!
