It’s no secret that Kirby’s Dream Land 2 and its animal friends make for one of my favorite games in the series, and anytime it gets some focus I’m there to sing its praises. March saw Kirby riding in on Rick the hamster, but for April he’s taking to the sea with a different friend.
Kine the sunfish is on the way to Japanese arcades, and he’s looking great. That trademark empty gaze and gaping mouth might make him seem a little dopey, but there’s no one you should have at your side for getting through the waters of Dream Land. Along for the ride is Kirby, though he’s hanging onto his fin instead of settling into his mouth. Some things are too good for this world.
