Back when I first got my hands on Pokémon GO I can remember all the fun of snapping photos of Pokémon in the real world. I mean, who wouldn’t want a picture of their friend with a Golbat on their head? While the AR photography never really went anywhere, a new feature is coming along to make those golden moments easier than ever to immortalize.
GO Snapshot will now let you throw Pokémon you’ve caught and have in storage out into the world again for a chance at a picture. Now all those times you wished a catch had been just a little more to the left or moments you forgot to grab a pic don’t matter — you can make it work on your own time in your own way! It’s also possible to link the feature to your social media accounts of choice to make posting easier than ever.
It’s not a game changer or a Dex expansion, but these kinds of little updates add up. No doubt everyone’s feeds are going to be a little more full of Pokémon in all kinds of places and poses. Let that creativity shine and be on the lookout for what comes next.
