I had to double check this one because I couldn’t believe it’s been this long, but Kirby: Triple Deluxe is now five years old today going by its Japanese release. Kirby’s first 3DS outing was a treat, bringing the Return to Dream Land style to handheld — along with some of my favorite sub-games. In honor of the occasion, a lovely new illustration’s been shared:
Kirby’s taken to one of that game’s new abilities here, donning his Bell to ring in the celebration. And just look at that Dedede, winking like he knows what’s up and keeping the beat with a tambourine in hand. It’s a fun callback to Dedede’s Drum Dash, one of those great sub-games I just mentioned. Last up is Taranza, that game’s new character who’s fresh off of being made a Star Allies Dream Friend. Holding a bouquet of flowers in celebration, he’s taken a break from minding the Dreamstalk to share these blooms.
Here’s to a shining sun of a game and to many more Kirby celebrations to come!
