It was only pretty recently that Dragalia Lost — the first collaboration between Nintendo and mobile giant Cygames — was revealed, and given that the release is within a month there’s still plenty left to discover. Case in point, a new story trailer has dropped for the game, reiterating and expanding upon the plot introduced in the recent Nintendo Direct.
As the seventh in line to the Alberian throne, the main character [Insert Name Here] sets off with his sister/Holy Auspex Zethia and a set of companions to find a shard from the great wyrms, ancient dragons that helped the royal family. But just as they do so, Alberia falls, the protagonist is branded a traitor by his siblings, and Zethia cryptically sacrifices herself for his sake. With sword in hand and dragon’s blood in vein, the hero sets out to reclaim his kingdom. Not the most original premise ever, perhaps, but the conflict is clear and set.
