Even if he’s barely aged in the games, this year will mark the 27th birthday of corkscrews and Chaos Emeralds for Sega’s superfast blue mascot. No amount of deadly speed traps or fake hedgehogs could stop Sonic from running all the way through the years, and Sega’s set to mark the occasion with a special stream out of Tokyo’s Sega Joyopolis indoor amusement center.
While nothing has been said for Team Sonic Racing or the upcoming Sonic the Hedgehog movie, it’s confirmed that Sonic Mania Plus will be on topic with the presence of longtime Sonic series Producer Takashi Iizuka. More details will be announced at a later date.
