Last year Netflix and Konami surprised us all with a surprisingly decent animated adaptation of Castlevania III: Dracula’s Curse, though it was very short lived, with only 4 episodes being released so far. Thankfully it proved a hit and the internet streaming giant has renewed the show for eight more episodes that’ll air this summer.
The news comes from writer Warren Ellis’ Twitter feed, though no specific dates have been confirmed as of yet.
FAQ: people keep asking, so I guess word didn't get around? We're coming back this summer, for eight episodes, from @Netflix. pic.twitter.com/HckIke4REI

The first season of the show covered protagonist Trevor Belmont meeting Sypha and Alucard, two of the alternate playable characters from the classic NES game. That still leaves room for the recruitment of the fantastically named Grant Danasty, not to mention the crew finally heading to the titular Castlevania itself.
We’ll be sure to bring more news on the series as Netflix reveals more info.
