File this one under “to be speculated”: Donna Burke, known for voice roles such as Vanessa Lewis in Virtua Fighter and the iDROID in Metal Gear Solid V, as well as singing for video game soundtracks, tweeted that she is working on a Nintendo project. She states that the recording was a record “6 bottles,” showing six empty water bottles in front of a monitor.
Today’s recording job was a record 6 bottles! Such an honor to work at #Nintendo today!!! Arigato!!! pic.twitter.com/yvp6OPG0zN

This has lead to rabid fan speculation. Most of the excitement stems from one voice credit on her resume: the role of Mrs. Arrow in F-Zero GX. Crazy theories have popped up, including:
- A new F-Zero game
- Burke is playing Samus
- She is recording a new song for Metroid
- A new song for Breath of the Wild DLC
- MGSV Switch confirmed
And my personal favorite:
She’s recording a new Metal Gear style theme for Super Smash Bros. Switch because Snake is back in.
At this point it’s all just messing around, but Burke is a tremendously talented artist, and her involvement with anything Nintendo is very exciting. Personally, I can’t wait to find out what it is!
